Abuse Industry Teaches Women to Fear Men, Teaches Men to Fear Women

By Carey Roberts

Recently I attended a domestic violence conference hosted by a church in my community. “The Church’s Role in Addressing Domestic Violence in the Faith Community,” the glossy brochure explained.

The program featured a Proclamation by President Barack Obama filled with heart-rending language about the “devastating impact” of domestic violence on women and children. The conference included a workshop a dramatic presentation of The Yellow Dress, a play based on stories of women who were victims of dating violence.

I opted to screen a video called “Defending our Lives,” featuring the accounts of five women incarcerated for murdering their partners. All insisted their lethal actions were taken solely in self-defense.

But from the beginning, it was clear an ideologically-fueled agenda was lurking in the background. Because research shows, over and over, that women are equally likely to aggress against their intimate partners.

The video commenced with a stark warning; “There is a war against women in this country.”

Women's Bill: Empowering Gharanas, Not Women

The results of recent Lok Sabha elections have driven home the very disturbing fact that politics in India is fast becoming a family business. If this trend continues, as indeed it will unless major changes are made, India will soon find itself being ruled “democratically” [...]

We are all racists

The best yardstick to judge a society’s level of racism is its openness to immigration

Over the last few weeks, the world has come face to face with Australian racism. Australia has some of the toughest anti-racial legislation in the world, just as we have some of [...]

Understanding the Governance

As a daily habit Pintu was reading newspaper.

Suddenly he asked his father, ” Dad! What does it mean by ‘Governance System‘ ? “

We so much love and pamper the Terrorists who kill us

Mohammed Amir Ajmal Kasab, the only surviving member of the terrorist squad that struck at multiple locations in Mumbai last November, made a plea to retract his confession on the first day of the trial here on Friday.

Defence lawyer SG Abbas Kazmi while filing the application on Kasab’s behalf, told special court judge ML Tahilyani that the accused was retracting his confession as it was taken under “duress” by police. Kasab’s confession was made before a magistrate!

Indian government is trying its best to put the best foot forward in this trial. This is being viewed by some as an opportunity to prove to the world that India is for, by and of the people; that every person in India deserves a fair trial.

Let me put some facts in perspective. A thick security blanket has been thrown in and around a special court where the trial of Mohammed Ajmal Kasab is being held. As many as 500 police personnel were deployed on the road leading to the special court set up inside Arthur Road Jail in central Mumbai. One side of the road was closed to traffic. Security personnel in plainclothes were seen moving around the court. Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel, who are also guarding Kasab in the jail, patrolled around the area near the court premises. Media persons were checked multiple times prior to entering the court and were not allowed to carry anything on their person, including notepads and pens. A separate enclosure has been created for media vehicles some distance away from the court. No vehicle parking was allowed anywhere around the court. A special vehicle obtained by the Mumbai Police to scan for explosives has also been pressed into service around the court.

Vote for any party, BUT NOT for Congress

Dear all Indian Husbands and their Family Members,

Nowadays more than 57000 Indian Husbands are ending their lives in suicide every year due to the anti-husband, anti-family and anti-child biased and lopsided marital laws like Section 498A / Domestic Violence Act / CRPC125 / Adultery law / four different maintenance laws, all passed by the Congress. The entire family of Husbands has been converted into a Free ATM machine and they are being treated worse than an animal in this country due to all biased and lopsided law and policy by the Congress party.

Inspite of The Honorable Supreme Court terming the Misuse of Section 498A as “Unleashing of a new Legal Terrorism on innocent husband’s family” and Domestic Violence Act as “one of the most clumsy drafted law”, the Congress led UPA government has not taken any corrective action and the entire family of husbands is suffering today because of that.
